Gold-bearing gravel and dirt is shoveled into the hopper of the power sluice / high banker, which is mounted at the top end of the sluice box. Inside the hopper is a "grizzly" which is a series of sloping rods that filter out larger rocks. Also in the hopper are spray bars that shoot water onto the gravel and dirt that you shovel into the hopper.

May 30, 2018· When using theGrizzlyyou don't need to classify. Just shovel directly onto thesluice. The fluid bed chamber creates a low pressure area, wheregoldwill drop to the bottom. Everyone I know, including myself has been happy with their Bazooka, and even happier with theGrizzly goldtrap.
Custom stream sluice we internal screen 3/16 grizzly. A Gold Rat design idea we just had to try. We built the flare to unbolt and tear down. Pieces fit under the screen for transport. This sluice design is also adaptable to a power sluice similar to an older unit I used to build called the triple threat.
